Why the AI System, not the model
The same model can carry very different obligations when used for clinical support, recruitment or an internal writing assistant. AIGovernr therefore governs the business use, recording the model and provider as facts about it.
The system record
- Overview: purpose, owner, status and the governance processes that fit its risk tier.
- Classification: the scope check and EU AI Act risk tier, with their history.
- Documentation and Testing & monitoring: technical documentation, training data, bias assessments, human oversight reviews and monitoring plans.
- Issues & actions, Evidence & reports, Policies and Vendor: the linked governance records.
Actions on a system
- Edit: update the registered facts. Changing scope facts marks the scope check and classification as out of date.
- Request decision: ask for an approval, such as approving deployment or continued use. When a decision needs review, this becomes Start reassessment.
- Open Assure: work through the system's assurance activities.
- AI Lineage and View Model Card: see dependencies and a summary card.
