Operate an AI governance programme

In-house teams govern a portfolio by combining shared policies and accountability with per-system assurance and decisions.

Programme workflow

  1. 1Set up company roles in Access Control and Approval Policies for your key decisions.
  2. 2Create Projects that match programme boundaries, such as a business unit or product line.
  3. 3Register the AI portfolio, assign system owners, and use Shadow AI to bring unsanctioned tools under governance.
  4. 4Run framework assessments and rely on shared controls to avoid duplicating work across frameworks.
  5. 5Apply policy templates, tailor them and take them through review.
  6. 6Review findings, risks, approvals and exceptions on a regular cadence.
  7. 7Connect runtime monitoring and coordinate reassessments across owners.

Portfolio visibility

Use My Assignments for personal work, the Executive Dashboard and Compliance Calendar for what needs a decision or is due, and Portfolio for health across projects. The portfolio views coordinate work; each system's record holds the detailed governance history.
